A man today admitted attempted murder following a stabbing which left a man in a life-threatening condition.

Rajpal Jatana, of Wentworth Road, on the borders of Heston and Southall, appeared at Kingston Crown Court today (Tuesday, February 25) where he admitted section 18 wounding with intent.

He denied charges of attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon, both of which were left to lie on file.

The unemployed 20-year-old was arrested after a man in his 20s was found stabbed in Jatana's home street on the evening of September 12 last year. The man was initially considered to be in a life-threatening condition but it was later downgraded to stable.

Jatana is due to be sentenced in April.
