Fun and frolics will kick start the 2014 Feltham Arts Festival as Circus Suburbia come to town.

Juggling and tightrope walking are among the skills children can learn at the first event on the community calendar this month.

The activities scheduled to run from April to July have been launched with the release of a brochure - Feltham Arts Festival 2014: Something for Everyone.

Plans for this year's four-month long festivities for people living in Feltham, Bedfont and Hanworth include everything from arts, dance and community activities centred around bringing people together.

During the spring holidays there will be a family Easter egg bunny hunt at Bedfont Lakes as well as a whole of host of Brazilian inspired workshops including martial arts and dance in the summer in celebration of the World Cup.

Another highlight in the calendar is the community fun day on May 28, where a large mosaic mural created by nearly 400 people in Feltham, Bedfont and Hanworth will be unveiled.

The artwork which explores the theme of the 'four seasons' will be displayed in The Centre Feltham and Feltham Green.

Ruth Wood, Feltham Arts Festival director, said: "This is a unique festival that gives everyone living in Feltham, Hanworth and Bedfont the opportunity to participate in arts, dance and community activities or showcase their work through exhibitions or to an audience.

"Last year Feltham Arts, through its spring programme and Feltham Festival, benefited more than 5,000 people of all ages.

"The festival brings educational and cultural activities to the general public in the west end of the London Borough of Hounslow and surrounding communities."

Other activities for adults include the chance to extend your knowledge of painting and drawing, get to grips with the basics of mosaics, glass painting, and sewing.

There will also be several concerts, books clubs and history talks for people to attend, and children will be given the chance to explore circus skills, and mask and frame making.

For young people there will be the opportunity to learn street dance and get involved in a two weeks summer arts and London Mela project as well as a chance for talented singers to audition for Hounslow Has Talent.

This year's brochure cover was designed by illustrator Lisa Prisk.

Last year pupils at nearby Victoria Junior School competed to see their creative design splashed on the front of the brochure with Vaishnavi Dokka named the winner.
