RESIDENTS have been waking up to find yesterday's snow was not a dream but the good news is the nightmare appears to have eased.
Although parts of Hillingdon are still blanketed in white Hillingdon Council's gritting teams have been hard at work and the majority of the main routes are now returning to normal.
Transport for London (TfL) reports a much improved service compared to Monday and according to its latest update both the buses and the tubes are running well.
All schools in the borough remain shut today and other services including the libraries and refuse collection may continue to be affected by the wintery weather.

It cannot have escaped people's notice that many of the young people of the borough have been hard at work making snowmen and making full use of the snow.
