They were competing for the Simmons Putter in a golf competition.
The putter is an antique golf club which was presented to the winning captain of the successful club after the first
contest in 1995.
The two groups have continued to compete for the putter with occasional matches, and the latest game was won by Rotary.
John Simmons, the donor of the vintage putter and representing the 41 Club, which is for former members of Round Table, presented the trophy to Rotarian Richard Hansom at a recent ceremony at Richings Park Golf Club.
In common with some other players, both men belong to both clubs, which makes team selection interesting and it all the more competitive.
