Families desperately seeking bone marrow for their dying children are urging people to come to Edgware tomorrow and register as donors.

Barclays Bank in Station Road, will host the drive held on behalf of seven year old Dean Sheikh and Carena Cash - who are both critically ill with blood cancers.

The Afro Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT) is calling on black, mixed race, and ethnic minorities in particular to come forward due to a desperate shortage of them on the register.

As a consequence Dean and Carena have only a 1 in 100,000 chance of finding a bone marrow match compared to around 1 in 5 if they were white.

To lend your support go to the Barclays branch on 126 Station Road, Edgware, between 10am and 4.30pm.
