Teenagers across Harrow showcased their football and tennis skills at a Stanmore park's sports grounds.
The Centenary Park Sports Club, in Centenary Park, unveiled its new five-a-side grass football pitch and four renovated tennis courts on Saturday by hosting two competitions for 13-19 year-olds.
Despite the rain, nine football teams took to the pitch in the afternoon for the club's first official five-a-side football event of the year to win the top prize of £50.
Club manager Darragh Mooney, said: "We built these amazing facilities to inspire people to play sport. Centenary has always had a rich tradition for sport and now we have the right surfaces to offer tennis and football all year round."
The afternoon also featured a tennis tournament with 17 young people taking part in knockout matches.
The club was able to transform the park's sport facilities after being awarded £80,000 from the Youth Opportunity Fund last year.
More tennis and football competitions are being planned and the club is now looking for funding for floodlights so that young people and adults can play sport in the evenings.
