NEW owners are being sought for a beautiful dog who was cruelly shot by his previous owners.

Four-year-old Arnold, a lurcher, was recently brought into Dogs Trust Harefield, where staff nursed him to a full recovery. He is now looking fit and healthy.

Richard Moore, Dogs Trust rehoming centre manager, said: "Unfortunately, Arnold was shot prior to coming here, resulting in the loss of part of his right ear and a wound on his right shoulder.

"Despite his rough start to life and recent surgery he is a loveable, feisty dog and healthy in all other ways. Although the wound is still fairly recent he is a remarkably happy go lucky dog."

Arnold can live with children over the age of six years and he will need a moderate amount of exercise every day so he is suitable for first time owners.

The staff at Dogs Trust described him as having a lovely temperament and good with other dogs, enjoying nothing better than a good frolic in the field. To arrange a visit call Dogs Trust Harefield on 01895 453930.
