Promoters who held the foam party at a nightclub outside of which a man was shot and another victim injured have lashed out at revellers who allegedly turned the night nasty by setting off tear gas.

Revellers had flocked to Saturday's £15-a-night called UK Foam Party that celebrated its fifth anniversary at The Lounge nightclub at Unimix House in Abbey Road, which had only actually opened as a venue a little over a week before.

Police were called out at at 3.10am on Sunday and found two victims .

The police said in a statement: “The first victim, aged 22, was taken to a central London hospital suffering a gunshot injury to the leg.

“The second victim 2, aged 22, was also taken to a central London hospital for treatment to head injuries.

“Neither men’s injuries are life threatening.

“At this early stage it is believed both men had attended a foam party at the club.

“Around the time of the incident, a number of people had run from the club into the street after a foam machine appeared to malfunction, emitting a chemical smell.”

The promoters of the UK Foam Party - which boasts the largest foam machine in the UK - said in an online statement: “A tear gas-like substance was let off on three occasions in the venue by a couple of individuals who we would love to identify and [who] barged their way out like they were victims.

“We would like to understand why you came to sabotage UK Foam Party.

“It was well orchestrated by the individuals that used the tear gas when the CO2 machine was activated.

“There was a fight outside the club and someone has been wounded in the leg.

“Luckily [there was] no loss of life in the rush and panic to escape the harmful fumes in the club.

"The promoter had not been aware of any breach of the building until the gas was let off on the security, but was not totally happy with the arrangement of the venue.

"Uk Foam Party would like to apologise for any body who has had any loss, damage, scrat imbeciles ch or bruise from the commotion, and the emotional distress, we could not foresee these causing such a evil act on their own people who just wanted to enjoy themselves. "

Guest Filipa Rocha said on Facebook: “ I was at the event party and I do have to say that there was no tight security.

"I suffered from breathing problems due to the tear gas, as I could not breath properly I dropped down and my breathing stopped.

"My mate had to do CPR on me. I'm so lucky she was there but Istill suffer from breathing problems from that night on.

"I went hospital straight away and I have to be on inhaler for my breathing. I am not happy about the whole thing.

"We was there for two hours before the whole commotion.

"I will never forget a night like that because it was very scary and frightening."
