COLOURS came alive in Harrow to celebrate the coming of Spring in Harrow.

The Hindu festival of Holi was marked with a riot of colour at Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue on Saturday.

Families came to enjoy dancing, music and throwing coloured powder at a celebration hosted by a children’s charity.

The charity Shishukunj has been going for 35 years in London and has helped more than 5,000 children through a programme of activities and also works to relieve poverty and distress to children in some of the poorest parts of the world.

The event was held to raise money to convert the charity’s headquarters in Edgware in to a multipurpose community centre.
