A luxury 317-room hotel is set to open this spring on the former Pavilion cinema in Shepherd’s Bush Green.

The four-star Dorsett hotel has confirmed it will open some time in May after nearly two years of works to renovate the Grade II-listed 1923 building to the west of the green.

The Pavilion, which later became a bingo hall, had been closed since 2001 before property developer Chelsfield started building work in March 2012 .

The new hotel will include two restaurants, a bar, conference room, gym and spa with 60 new cycle spaces outside.

It is the first venture for parent firm Far East Consortium outside South East Asia.

“The property is going to be a great new opening for London and we’re going to create quite a buzz in Shepherd’s Bush - there’s already a great deal of interest.”
