A new restaurant serving street food from around the globe is due to open in Hounslow in just under three weeks, and will celebrate its launch with a half-price offer.

Shanty Town will replace the Indian eatery Delhi 6 on the ground floor of the Blenheim Centre, beside Asda and the recently opened B&M discount store.

Set to open on February 13, the buffet restaurant will serve more than 50 international dishes, including Indian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese and English cuisine, and feature seven 'live cooking stations'. To mark its opening, dishes will be available at half-price for the first two days.

Shanty Town is slowly taking shape, with the colourful bar and wooden flooring already in place

The restaurant was granted a licence in December to serve alcohol until 11.30pm on weekdays and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, despite objections to a late licence from some people living in the apartments above.

The eatery is gradually taking shape, with the brightly coloured bar and wooden flooring already visible through the windows.
