A MAN stood naked in his driveway and repeatedly exposed himself to his neighbours, a court has heard.
Anthony Emrys Charles Smith, 34, of Halsway, Hayes, pleaded guilty to three offences, which took place in May.
This included two occasions where he stood naked in front of his window and one where he was naked in his driveway.
Syreeta Maharaj, prosecuting, said: "When Mr Smith pleaded guilty he said 'Yes I was standing masturbating, I don't know why I do it, I just go into my own world sometimes.'"
She explained that Mr Smith lives on a narrow street where neighbours can clearly see the houses opposite them.
Ms Maharaj added that the offences were witnessed by a couple who saw Mr Smith at his window in the afternoon on Tuesday, May 6 and at 3pm on Sunday, May 18. He was also seen in his drive on Friday, May 13 at 3am.
Lucie Wibberly, defending solicitor, said: "He was sexually abused as a child and he feels that this is a reaction to that. He says when it does happen he is pre-occupied with events from the past.
"Mr Smith is on suicide watch in custody but he is making progress and he is attending therapy, which he is finding very useful."
She explained that it would be another four weeks before his psychiatrist could prepare a pre-sentence report.
Magistrate Stephen Day, said: "I know that a lot of people who do these offences do not go on to commit further offences, but in its mildest this is bizarre behaviour."
Smith will be kept in custody until Friday, July 18. Sentencing is scheduled at a hearing on July 25.
