A man is considering abandoning his home after faeces and tissues flooded his garden.
Rashmi Peshavaria, of Culver Grove, Stanmore, has been living with an unbearable stench since Sunday (31), when man hole covers were blown off by rain storms causing sewage to spill into his garden and driveway.
He said: "It is flooded full of the rubbish that people put in their toilets, like faeces and tissues. It is a health risk and the stench is bad.
"I do not know how they are going to clean my garden, we have put disinfectant on it, but we are thinking we might have to move out of the house for a while."
The 61-year-old is not alone as up to five other houses in the area have also been affected by the spillages.
He said: "My house seems to be the worse because it is the lowest in the row of houses."
The retired civil servant, who lives with his disabled wife, is concerned the sewage may lead to someone becoming ill.
He said: "I have been told the main sewer is blocked.
"I spoke to the council and they sent one man yesterday to assess it and he said it was bad. It has been like this for two days now."
He added Thames Water said they would send someone to see the damage, but they had not arrived yet.
