Test your fitness in the annual Gunnersbury Park 10K charity fun run, raising money for Action for Blind People.

Runners of all abilities are welcome to take part and entries will be accepted on the day at Popes Lane Car Park, from 9.30am.

Channel your inner hero and use a fire hose is among the attractions at a fun day in Heston this weekend.

Visitors can get a closer look at a fire engine and see if they have what it takes to be a firefighter during the free event at Heston Community Sports Hall.

A bird of prey display, a military fitness workout and various stalls, including old favourites like guess the weight of the cake, are among the other activities taking place.

The fair is organised by The 2000 Club, a sports and social group for people with disabilities.

Bonalu celebrations held last year by the Telangana NRI Forum

More than 500 people are expected to turn out this weekend for one of the biggest dates in the Telangana calendar.

The Bonalu festival, at which Hindu worshippers pay thanks and make offerings to the goddess Yellamma, will be celebrated at Isleworth and Syon School for Boys.

People of all faiths and no faith are invited to enjoy traditional dancing and live music at the event, on Sunday from 12.30pm to 5.30pm.

The celebrations will begin at 10.30am that morning, with a procession from the Laxminarayan Temple, in Neville Close, Hounslow.

Telangana is a state in southern India, the capital of which is Hyderabad. The native tongue Telugu is the third most commonly spoken language in India.

Sebastian Foucan

James Bond baddie and freerunning pioneer Sebastien Foucan will be among the star attractions at a free sporting jamboree in Chiswick next weekend.

People of all ages and abilities will be able to try their hand at 40 different sports, including a freerunning masterclass from the Casino Royale villain Foucan. Other sports available on the day range from American Football to horse riding.

Celebrated dancer and Chiswick resident Wayne Sleep will open the event, alongside BBC5 Live Sports presenter Kelly Cates, before leading a jazz ballet session.

Milton Jones, Stephen K Amos and Harry Hill are all set to headline shows during the Bearcat Comedy Club’s birthday festival week.

Milton Jones’ show at the club in the Turk’s Head, St Margarets, next Wednesday, July 16, is already sold out.

But tickets are available for Stephen K Amos and guests the following Monday, July 21, and Harry Hill on Wednesday, July 23.

The club is also hosting the first leg of the Mic, Bike ‘n’ Hike Macmillan Cancer Support Charity event next Sunday, July 20.

Circus Zyair is bringing its two-hour show, including high wire balancing, the Wheel of Death and juggling, to Boston Manor Park for three days. Tickets for the first day’s performances are just £6.99.
