PERMISSION sought from a landlord to extend a six bedroom house into a seven bedroom house has been refused.

The first floor extension in Bosanquet Close, Cowley, was rejected as planners felt it would be detrimental to existing occupants and neighbours.

The road is used for students from Brunel University as well as residents, and the house would have effectively become a student hostel.

Planners at Hillingdon Council described the extension as an 'over intensification of residential activities.'
