Parts of Chelsea have been turned into the sort of scene you’d expect to find in a Brothers Grimm story.

Chelsea in Bloom is in full swing and will run until Monday (May 23), with fairy tales as the theme of this year’s competition.

The event is in its 10th year and sees retailers from the Royal Borough once again competing to create the most imaginative and creative installations, fashioned entirely from fresh flowers and plants.

Nearly 40 retailers across Cadogan Estate are taking part. Among the many highlights are a fairy tale forest in Sloane Square, and a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in Duke of York Square.

Among the winners was beauty shop Sarah Chapman in Pavilion Road, which scooped best floral display.

The event is organised by Cadogan Estate in association with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
