THE Paralympic torch will be stopping off in Fulham on Thursday (August 16) at Sainsbury's in Townmead Road.
It will visit the borough before embarking on a five day relay in London on Friday August 24.
Mayor of Hammersmith and Fulham, Belinda Donovan, said: “I am delighted that Fulham will be able to take part in the build-up to what I am sure will be a fantastic Paralympics, which the people of Hammersmith & Fulham will be cheering on.”
Charity representatives and torchbearers, James Coke of the Hammersmith and Fulham Action on Disability group and Daphine Aikens, the manager of Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, were also there to talk to visitors.
Edward Collett from Sainsbury's, said: “It is a good opportunity for customers to interact with the torch and raise the profile of the Paralympics, which Sainsbury’s has invested a lot of time in.”
