A ROBBER snatched a cash box being delivered to a bank in Hayes town, before fleeing the scene on foot.

The suspect targeted a security guard believed to be bringing cash to Barclays Bank in Station Road, Hayes, at around 10.20am on Thursday last week.

No arrests have been made, and detectives are now seeking witnesses.

The guard’s G4S van blocked the bank’s car park entrance, as police cordoned off the area after the theft.

No weapons were used, and no-one was injured.

Police have not disclosed how much money was taken.
