A 16-YEAR-OLD was stabbed in Harrow Weald's High Road yesterday evening - the second such attack on a teenager in the same street in just over a week.

The latest victim was found with what police described as "puncture wounds" after officers responded to reports of youths fighting in the street at 5.50pm. He was taken to a north London hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

It comes nine days after a 15-year-old ex-Hatch End High School pupil was stabbed during a mass brawl in High Road outside the parade of shops opposite Homebase.

Harrow Police's CID unit is investigating yesterday's attack and a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Edgware on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

A Harrow Police spokesman said: "At this stage we believe that he was stabbed with a broken bottle.

"Broken glass has been recovered at the scene and is being examined by forensics officers.

"Enquiries by the CID on Harrow borough continue and there is no evidence to link the two incidents at this stage."

Reader Brian Morrisey said: "Here we are again on July 3 and yet another youth has been stabbed in Harrow Weald.

"The epicentre of these incidents seems to be the KFC fast food outlet.

"It's about time these premises were either closed down or policed to stop these gangs congregating.

"The recreation park opposite also is used for these gangs to fight where they cannot be seen on CCTV as there aren't any cameras in the area."
