A PLUCKY youngster battled his way through a group of politicians and other adults to question the Mayor of London about his school days.

Luke McHugh-Sangster, 10, of Cedars Road, had just finished eating his tea when he spotted Boris Johnson in Chiswick High Road on Saturday (March 10) at about 5.45pm.

His mother Susan Sangster said: "Boris was really charming and chatted to Luke for about five minutes. Luke recognised him instantly as he is interested in politics and he had recently been on a visit to Eton College and knew Boris had been at school there so he wanted to ask him about it."

The St Mary's Primary School pupil and the Mayor then chatted about sports and Luke said he was delighted the Mayor visited his home town.

Mr Johnson was there as part of his campaign before the Mayoral elections in May.
