HOLLYWOOD came to Uxbridge today (Friday) as pupils from Bishopshalt School received film star treatment at a private premiere of a new film in which they appeared.
Over 100 pupils from the school acted as extras in the film 'Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging', based on a book telling the life of a teenage girl.
Uxbridge Odeon treated the girls to a private viewing where they were read a note from the director Gurinder Chandra who also directed Bend It Like Beckham.
Headteacher David Bocock who also appeared in the film gave a speech with prizes awarded to the best dressed pupils.
Sarah Rees, 12, of Hillingdon, one of the pupils who starred as extras, said: "The premiere is exciting, the scenes I was in involved running around and riding on our bikes.
"I got autographs from the cast, I would like to go into acting one day so it was great."
The scenes were filmed at Bishopshalt School last Autumn, and other scenes were also filmed at Liquid nightclub in Uxbridge.
