A hairdresser has transformed her salon into a festive wonderland complete with Santa's Grotto to raise funds for a military charity.

Christine Ball, owner of The Cutting Corner in Howletts Lane, Ruislip, has created the Christmas make-over to raise funds for Help for Heroes.

"We do a grotto every year but we wanted to use it to raise money and we thought it would be nice to raise funds for Help for Heroes in particular because of it being the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War this year," she said.

The charity supports British men and women who have been wounded in conflict.
