A convict who inflicted injuries so severe that the victim lost their spleen is wanted by authorities.

Harrow police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of 62-year-old Mary Whelan, who is wanted after being found guilty of violent disorder in 2005.

The charge relates to an incident on May 24, 2004 in Belmont Circle when Whelan, married with a daughter and three boys, seriously assaulted a victim who lost his spleen as a result of his injuries following an earlier argument in The Lough Inn pub in Warwick Parade, Kenton Lane, Harrow.

Whelan was charged with conspiracy to commit violent disorder and was found guilty in her absence, at Harrow Crown Court on August 8, 2005.

A warrant was issued for her arrest, but she has not been seen by police since.

Whelan has previous connections in the 1990s to Holloway, London and between 2000 to 2005 to the Harrow area. She now has family links to Cheshire and Manchester.
