The popular Ruislip fair is spreading its wings and opening a new market on Saturday (September 14).

The market is a favourite among locals for its philosophy of selling only interesting, local, ethical and sustainable products from independent traders.

After successfully running regular markets in Ruislip and Richmond, owner Caron Pook (pictured) is adding another string to her bow by opening up in the grounds of the Queen's Head pub on High Street, Pinner.

The mum-of-two from Ickenham said: “We are so excited to be coming to Pinner and we hope that the local community will embrace the market and enjoy the range of interesting stalls that we have to offer. We look forward to working with Sean White, the pub’s new landlord, on this project.”

A vibrant hub for independent crafters, food producers and small businesses, the market will be held on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 10am to 3pm.

Duck Pond Market regular Meghan Harrison said: “The market has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and makes for a great family day out.”

Duck Pond Farmers Market is held on the first Sunday of each month at Manor Farm in Bury Street, Ruislip. The Duck Pond Artisan Food & Craft Market is held on the third Sunday of each month at the site in Ruislip, and every Sunday in Heron Square, Richmond.

The Pinner market will take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
