A mother poisoned herself and her two young daughters by drinking acid, an inquest has heard.

The bodies of Heena Solanki, 34, Jasmine, nine, and Prisha, four, were discovered at their home in Midcroft, Ruislip in April last year by Mrs Solanki's husband, Kalpesh.

According to a report by the BBC, the substance had been taken by Mrs Solanki from a locked cupboard at the school where she worked as a lab technician.

During her inquest at West London Coroners' Court today (Friday, October 24), the court was told Mrs Solanki was struggling to get on with her mother and father-in-law, who she lived with.

The court heard how police and paramedics who were called to the scene were forced back by the fumes from the substance.

Coroner Chinyere Inyama said Mrs Solanki took her own life, while Jasmine and Prisha were both unlawfully killed.
