THE Prince of Wales was joined by Qatar's first lady, Sheikha Mozah, to open a new area inspired by the Islamic scriptures at Kew Gardens last Friday.

The project is a collaboration between the Qatar Foundation for education, science and community development and Kew Gardens.

The garden contains all the plants mentioned in the Koran, including olives, pomegranates and figs.
