A food bank in Hounslow has received two laptops from the Rotary Club of Heston and Isleworth.

Rotarians presented the computers, worth £600, to representatives from Hounslow Community FoodBox last Tuesday (November 18).

The computers will be used by the food bank, based at Brickfield Community Centre, in Brentford, to manage stock and organise deliveries to families.

The club previously donated a food hamper to the charity, which was set up by Hounslow Council last year to feed the borough's poorest residents.

There has been a 'marked rise' in the number of people using food banks in west London, according to new figures from the Trussell Trust.
