The magic of Roald Dahl came to a Hammersmith and Fulham Library when staff dressed up as some of his best-known characters.

Avonmore Library in North End Crescent in West Kensington recently held a fun-filled Roald Dahl day in honour of the celebrated children's author

Willy Wonka, Fantastic Mr Fox and Mr Twit were on hand to get children with crafts and colouring in, as well as some classic Dahl story-reading.

Five lucky youngsters also won tickets for two to the Roald Dahl Museum after finding Wonka-style Golden Tickets hidden in cakes during a cake sale.

The library is part of Hammersmith and Fulham Council's group of libraries, but is thought to be the only one in the country run by a Citizens Advice Bureau.
