NEIGHBOURHOOD police held a 'Have a Say' day to find out residents' policing priorities and give out crime prevention tips.

Officers from Southfield Safer Neighbourhood Team held the event at Southfield Recreational Ground on Saturday July 17 to 'strengthen the relationship' between police and the community.

During the event, attended by around 200 people, they handed out motor vehicle information packs and about 50 panic alarms, as well as advice on registering valuable items on www.immobilise.com

Organiser PCSO Ikram Syed said: “This was a very successful event. I was greatly impressed with the number of people attending. We will definitely be holding more events like this in the near future.”

Children were given stickers, colouring pencils, activity books and balloons, and were able to try on a policeman’s helmet.

Maurice Rohan of Ealing Council Community Safety Team was at hand to answer a variety of questions concerning council issues.
