Angry residents are again objecting to plans to build a new office block.

Developers Roly Ltd, based in Manchester, are hoping to build the block on land next to Compass House,in Pynnacles Close, Stanmore.

The building would be three storeys high with two floors of offices and parking spaces, and also be accessible from Church Road.

This will be the developers' third attempt to gain planning permission. They applied in March 2007 and January 2008 and were refused each time, due to the size of the building and the negative impact it would have on the character of the area.

Roly have reduced the size of the proposed building, making it smaller than nearby offices Compass House.

Alan Garner,of the Pynnacles Residents' Association said: "The fact they have reduced the size will not make the slightest bit of difference.

"We just think it will create too much congestion and other problems.

"It is a very small turning into Pynnacles Close, and on Church Road there are always queues of traffic trying to get out of the Sainsbury's supermarket there."

A decision on the planning application is due on September 11.
