POLICE are urgently searching for an elderly woman who has not been seen for four days.

Catherine Carlin, a 93 year-old grandmother who lives in Windmill Hill, Ruislip, was reported missing by concerned relatives after heading out on Sunday evening.

Her bus pass was used at 11.45pm on the 282 bus towards Mount Vernon Hospital, Rickmansworth Road, Northwood.

Police believe that she had become confused over an appointment time she had at the hospital.

Celia Mackay, her daughter, said: "I just cannot believe she went out on Sunday night. The curtains at her flat were left wide open.

"I last saw her on Thursday when we went for a meal and she seemed fine. But sometimes she does get confused and mixed up over which day of the week it is.

"The police have rung round all the hospitals, I thought may be she realised how late it was and tried to head back, but there were no buses."

She has a strong Irish accent, is 5ft 4 inches tall, and is hard of hearing.

It is possible she was wearing have been wearing a heavy tweed skirt or possibly dark coloured trousers.

Concerns are growing for safety and whereabouts, particularly with the cold winter evenings.

If anyone has seen Mrs Carlin or has any information they are urged to contact her daughter Celia Mackay on 01932 785495 or 07724 085710 urgently.
