I AM writing with reference to the article on Hounslow Manor Red Nose Day (Red Nose Day demo arrests, Chronicle, March 26).
I find the decision made by the headteacher Mrs Sakhardande not to give the pupils a mufti day very unfair as most other schools in the borough did have one.
I have had three children at Hounslow Manor over the years, one of which still attends, and this is the first time that the school has not raised money by having a mufti day and not being in the spirit for Comic Relief.
I can only think that this decision was made by her alone as the members of staff always get involved and join in.
I am sure that if Mr Roger Short was still the head teacher then the protest would never have happened PAUL TURNER via e-mail
