I welcome the Labour Government giving the go-ahead for Harrow Council to enter a PFI agreement to replace our ageing street lights in Harrow.
However, I completely disagree with Councillor Susan Hall that when the Conservatives took control of the council there had been a lack of investment in our borough.
This is simply not true, the previous four years saw record levels of investment in our roads, footways and parks.
The results of this level of investment can been seen right across our borough from Harrow Recreation Ground to Petts Hill Bridge, from Cannons Park to Centenary Park.
It is the Conservatives who have slashed spending in the last two years by at least a third, if not more.
