The police shut down illegal raves in South Harrow and Uxbridge on Saturday night.

The South Harrow event was closed at around 10pm according to a person who attended, following which many party goers headed to Uxbridge , hundreds on public transport, to another event at Uxbridge Industrial Estate.

On Sunday night,  Facebook page Swat Team which was promoting a secret event for 1,100+ people, posted: "We hear at Swat Team are apologising to all the ravers and everyone who helped us and was involved on the night last night. It was out of our hands and we will work harder to come back bigger and better."

The same page had directed people to an address in Ashley Road at 10.26pm on Saturday: "Ashley road,Uxbridge, UB8 2GA Unit F."

At 11.40pm, Facebook user Gee Nelson wrote on the event page wall: "Police just got to venue . Just warning"

Two minutes later Gee Nelson wrote: "Fully shut down . Police everywhere , grabbing people and throwing people out."

The police confirmed they shut a rave in Uxbridge at around midnight and said the incident was linked to events in 'another borough'.

It has not been confirmed if the organisers' speakers and sound systems were confiscated. Warehouse rave sound systems can be worth around £30,000.
