A rare watch worth £35,000 was among a hoard of jewellery stolen from a Knightsbridge home.

The black Patek Phillipe World Timer was stolen alongside a number of high-value watches and jewellery during a burglary at a home in Hans Place.

A burglar, or burglars, broke into the home on July 26 between 7.30pm and 9.15pm but the Met police have just today (October 20) released an image of the rare watch in a bid to track it down.

DC Alex Montgomerie, from Kensington and Chelsea CID, said: “I would appeal to anyone who has been offered this watch taken during the burglary to contact the police. We are very keen to speak to anyone who may be able to assist us with this investigation and catch the people responsible.

“We are issuing a picture of the watch in the hope someone will recognise it and help us locate it so it can be returned to its rightful owner.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Alex Montgomerie on 020 8246 0109 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
