WE READ T Mellor's rant (Gazette, April 8) and what a marathon that was.
As for the comment about John Randall dozing off in the House, we just managed to stay awake to read it.
He has some strong views, some of which most of us may identify with.
However, we must protest at the unwarranted slur on John Randall MP.
People are fortunate in having excellent MPs - John Randall, John McDonnell and Nick Hurd.
Contrary to Mr Mellor's opinion, John Randall's first concern is not for 'number one' but for his constituents.
All MPs oppose the third runway, back NHS services, hold surgeries and follow up concerns conscientiously.
Residents were grateful for John Randall's opposition to development at Fray's Island. He was at the planning meeting to share our joy that the plans were refused.
