BROADCASTERS at Hospital Radio Hillingdon are set to travel North for a prestigious awards dinner after being nominated in two categories.
The entertainment service for the patients at Hillingdon Hospital has received two nominations for the National Hospital Broadcasting Awards 2009 which will be held in Blackpool.
It has been shortlisted for the main award, Station of the Year and the winners will be decided on March 28.
Gerard Conway, 20, who presents a Sunday afternoon music show, and has also worked on Hayes FM, has also been listed for Male Presenter of the Year.
Steve Hickman, chairman of Hospital Radio Hillingdon, said: "I am extremely proud of all the work our volunteers do for the patients of the Hillingdon Hospital.
"None of us expect any recognition, but it is always nice to receive a little. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for the awards."
