SHOPPING channel QVC is to move its headquarters - and 600 staff - to Chiswick.
Brentford and Isleworth MP Mary Macleod has welcomed the news that the company is to relocate from Battersea.
She said: “QVC is a growing company who currently employ around 2000 people, so I am delighted that they have decided to move their head office to our area.
“I met recently with QVC‘s Chief Executive Mr Dermot Boyd and I am looking forward to welcoming him and his London team to Chiswick. With its excellent transport links and close proximity to central London, the local area is increasingly attracting interest from a broad range of innovative and growing companies looking to take advantage of what the area has to offer their business.
"I wish QVC every success and I look forward to catching their first broadcast from their new Chiswick home on June 7th 2012.”
