A speedy response from officers and police dogs led to the arrest of four people suspected of burglary in Bedfont.

All four men aged between 17 and early 20s were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody pending further enquiries.

A 999 call of a burglary in progress were made just after 7pm on Monday, October 6, to an address in Spinney Drive.

A team of officers responsible for keeping homes and residents crime free after dark identified one suspect in nearby St Mary's Drive.

They were then joined by an emergency response team and a dogs unit on foot chase which led to the arrest of three other suspects.

The arrests were part of an ongoing operation to tackle burglary in the borough of Hounslow.

Inspector Dan Thompson, said: "Seamless team work helped deliver this fast response.

"Utilising a range of tactics and expertise from our response teams, were able to make the arrests in a short time frame.

"The work to keep homes in Hounslow burglar free this Autumn is well underway."
