A Hounslow school governor has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire after three residents were included on the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Isleworthian Peter William Clare, a foundation governor at The New Rosary Catholic Primary School, received the honour for his voluntary service to education.

He was joined by Madge Esme Mary Dobinson, of Hounslow, who also received an MBE for services to the British Red Cross Society in London.

And an MBE also went to Whitehall official and Isleworth resident Morris Young, the Audit Service, E-Commerce and International Team Leader at HM Revenue and Customs.
