Children and staff flaunted their flamboyant 'onsies' to raise money and awareness for diabetes sufferers.

St Benedict’s Junior School in Montpelier Avenue, Ealing, managed to make £800 by wearing their silly, serious, animal and Christmas all-in-one suits.

The funds went to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and raised awareness of Type 1 Diabetes.

A 'onsie' assembly was held during which the school welcomed Dean Horridge, a member of the regional board of JDRF, and the JDRF mascot, Rufus.

Mr Horridge gave a presentation on what it means to have Type 1 Diabetes and what a diabetic person needs to do on a daily basis to manage the condition.

The event took place on November 14.
