A DECISION over controversial plans for a new hotel in Ruislip are set to be made on Thursday.
Hillingdon Council's north planning committee will meet to discuss proposals for a four-storey, 60-bedroom hotel in Midcroft, Ruislip.
Two petition with 165 signatures as well as 93 individual letters have been received by the council objecting to the development at the Jet Petrol site.
Furious residents believe, if built, the hotel would dwarf their properties resulting in a loss of natural light and privacy.
Fears that traffic problems would be exacerbated, noise levels increased and, due to the hotel over-looking a children's play area, children's privacy infringed, have also been heard.
Officers have recommended councillors refuse the application submitted by developer Mr Singh.
Among their reasons for refusal, officers believe the proposal does not provide adequate parking, is not energy efficient and would be obtrusive and over-bearing to residents.
