Prince Harry was seen with 'his head in his hands' after one of his police outriders crashed straight into a taxi yesterday (September 12).

The Royal was on his way to the Invictus Games in east London at 9.40am in a Range Rover when the motorbike, which was riding on the wrong side of the road next to his car, smashed head on into the front of a white Toyota Prius by Regent’s Park near London Zoo.

A witness speaking to the Daily Mail said the prince’s driver took immediate action in line with his anti-terrorism training and steered through the crash at speed before stopping ‘several hundred feet along the road’.

Prince Harry was said to be constantly looking backwards at the injured outrider with ‘concern etched on his face’ as his bodyguards treated the police rider who had reportedly been thrown 30ft down the road and the unconscious driver who had to be cut free from his car by firemen.

The Special Escort Group rider was discharged from hospital last night and the taxi driver is said to be in a stable condition.

Police are now investigating the crash.
