The party from the school in The Greenway was at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Stratford-upon-Avon on Monday (June 2) home to meet The Prince of Wales, the RSC's President.

As part of the visit, the prince was due to experience the work of the RSC’s Learning and Performance Network which stretches throughout the country and involves more than 400,000 pupils and their teachers.

Each school works with the RSC and their local theatre to create the best experience of Shakespeare in the classroom and in performance for young people.

Twelve schools were there to showcase a brief extract from their work on one of Shakespeare’s plays before meeting the prince to talk about their experience of Shakespeare in the classroom.

Vishal Joshi and Kaitlyn Paton, plus curriculum leader for drama, Nicola Walmsley, represented the school. They have been working on A Winter’s Tale, Othello and a Midsummer Night’s Dream.
