David Cameron this afternoon expressed relief at not being the man responsible for reinstating the iconic cows to the roof of Dairy Crest in Hanworth.

The Prime Minister, who recently reshuffled his Cabinet team, was visiting the Brompton factory in Brentford today (July 16) when he was asked for his views on Dairy Crest's own reshuffle.

“I've got a lot of decisions I have to make but luckily one of them isn't whether the cows remain on the roof,” said Mr Cameron. “I'm sure that the right people will be making the right decisions.”

Father of four Joachim Jellinek of Park Road East Twickenham has launched a online petition to bring the fibreglass cows back to the roof, where they have been bringing enjoyment to countless motorists and families passing by on the A316 flyover.

So much so that the petition has been signed by 6,500 people since it was launched on July 8. Here's what's happened so far:
