POP superstar Taylor Swift will light up Westfield Shopping Centre next week when she switches on their Christmas display.

The 22-year-old Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter, whose new album Red sold a million copies in its first week, will appear on stage with young leaders from the Shepherd's Bush centre's charity partner Save the Children.

She will perform three songs - including latest smash hit We Are Never Getting Back Together - in front of an expected crowd of 10,000 fans in the Atrium before hitting the button on the Christmas lights.

Myf Ryan, Westfield’s General Manager, said: “The Christmas lights switch-on is one of the highlights of the festive calendar and we are incredibly excited that Taylor Swift is launching Christmas for us at Westfield London.

"Not only is Taylor such a globally recognised artist, she is also of enormous appeal to our shoppers. We look forward to putting on a memorable show for our visitors.”

The centre's annual switch-on has always attracted big stars with Mariah Carey taking part in 2009, Rihanna in 2010 and Justin Bieber last Christmas.
