Four pupils visited Downing Street to collect awards in recognition of their efforts to help their fellow students.
Yasmin Dummett, Lorita Krasniqi, Simran Johal and Baljoyt Mangat of Yeading Junior School in Carlyon Road, Hayes received the Diana Awards last Tuesday.
Together they set up a peer mediation and friendship club in 2007 to give children a chance to talk about problems they may be facing at school, as well as helping younger pupils with the transition into junior school.
Bee Gee's singer Robin Gibb attended the reception in his new capacity as ambassador for the Diana Award.
Carole Jones, headteacher at Yeading Junior School, said: "We are really proud of the children.
"We greatly appreciate them being recognised for their hard work and dedication that has gone into winning this award."
