SINGER A*M*E stepped out from behind the microphone to help promote youth volunteering.
The 18-year-old, whose real name is Aminata Kabba, featured on the Duke Dumont number one single Need U (100%).
She visited Radio Northwick Park to get a taste of volunteering.
The charity, which broadcasts to patients at Northwick Park Hospital, in Watford Road, Harrow, has more than 150 volunteers who visit patients on the wards every day.
A film crew was with A*M*E to include her visit on a short documentary, which is being shown on 4Music as part of its Taking Care of Summer campaign.
Volunteers co-ordinator Jade Wight visited the wards with A*M*E.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to have A*M*E volunteer with Radio Northwick Park for the evening,” she said. “It was a pleasure to show her the work we do and to introduce her to some of the patients we directly affect.
“I really hope that young people watching A*M*E volunteer with us will be inspired to help their local community.”
The documentary will be aired on 4Music several times during the rest of the summer.
