A Polish couple have been jailed for running a prostitution ring with links to Hammersmith.

Polish women were forced to have unprotected sex for up to £120 an hour at a brothel in Queen Caroline Street, the Met’s Human Trafficking Unit have said.

Kamil Niewiadomski and Ewa Nosal, Polish nationals from Plumstead, were jailed for a total of four years and three months at Southwark Crown Court on Monday (Dec 09) after admitting to controlling prostitution for gain.

The couple posted adverts for escorts on a Polish website and took bookings from a flat in Greenwich. The sex workers also visited clients in Tower Hamlets and Southwark.

Niewiadomski fined victims £10 if they were late for a booking or if a client walked out.

The couple were arrested after several victims rang the trafficking unit’s 24-hour help line.

Detectives seized around £24,000 in cash found in a hidden safe in the defendant’s home along with 50 identity cards for Polish men and women and 120 mobile phones used to take bookings.

Niewiadomski was jailed for three years and four months while partner Nosal was sentenced to one year imprisonment.
