Police are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old died man died in a car accident in Feltham.

The man was involved in a road traffic collision on Chertsey Road near the junction with Cadbury Road, Feltham, on Sunday (6) around 1.30am.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated the young man, the driver of the motor vehicle, at the scene before he was flown by air ambulance to St Mary's Hospital.

He died from his injuries the following day.

DS Jeff Edwards, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am grateful to a number of people who stopped at the scene to assist the casualty that night.

"I would urge anyone who may have seen the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police."

The Coroner has been informed and an inquest will be opened and adjourned in due course.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Westminster Mortuary on April 10.
